Registration for courses, training, and events

Registration for courses, training, and events

The Norwegian Customs processes personal data necessary for registration and record-keeping of completed courses and other digital training measures and events.

By registering for the Norwegian Customs' courses and events, you consent to the collection and processing of personal data about you, which is necessary to administer and follow up on the training measures you choose to participate in.

The daily management of the processing responsibility for this information is handled by the Department for User Dialogue.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect and store your name, email address, date, and type of course you register for or mark as completed. For paid courses, we store the invoice address, organization number, and email for the invoice.

For some course types, it is valuable for the Norwegian Customs to know more about the course participant related to industry affiliation and competence level. These questions can include educational level, years in the position, or the company you belong to.

Why do we wish to continue processing your personal data?

The Department of User Dialogue aims to provide targeted, user-oriented information about regulations and procedures through courses and training.

We want the training measures to have content that is relevant to various groups in the business community. Therefore, as a previous course participant, you may receive:

  • An invitation to share your opinions in a user survey after the course
  • Information about new relevant courses and training content

Data collected via the registration system can be used anonymously for statistical purposes presented to more than just the Department of User Dialogue.

Retention period

The information for a course is processed for 24 months as long as you consent to the processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who can see the personal data we collect?

The information is only available to employees working with courses and training in the User Dialogue Department of the Customs Authority.

Information about who completes our courses will not be disclosed to others, such as the employer.

Transfer of data to other countries

Data is processed within the EU/EEA or countries that, according to the EU Commission's decisions, have an adequate level of protection.

Have we registered incorrect information about you, or do you want to withdraw your consent?

Contact us at [email protected]. Upon deregistration, all personal data will be deleted.
