Export Guide for Beginners Below is an overview of what you need to think about when exporting goods from Norway to another country.

Export declaration If you remove or export goods from Norway, you must always declare the goods to Norwegian Customs.

Duty-free status or lower duties when exporting to other countries Many countries impose customs duties on goods. If you use the openings in the free trade agreements that Norway has in place, your trading partners may be eligible for lower duties or duty-free status when importing to their countries. We call this preferential treatment.

Approved Exporters If you are an exporter who is familiar with the rules of origin in the free trade agreements, you may be authorized as an approved exporter. You may then issue origin declarations regardless of the value of the consignment. 

Export of used vehicles - proof of origin Checks have revealed that exporters of used motor vehicles are often unable to document the origin. Additional documents may be required upon endorsements of EUR.1.
