There are strict requirements for the importation of toys.
Note: An update of this article is pending. Please note that some terms and/or references may differ from the Movement of Goods Act and the Customs Duty Act that enters into force from the 1st of January 2023. |
For example, there are requirements regarding the physical, mechanical, chemical, electrical, flammable and noise level properties of the toys. In addition, there are requirements for the labelling and packaging of toys. All toys shall be CE labelled. Toys that appeal to children under the age of three, which may be dangerous to the children, shall be marked individually.
It is up to you as the importer to ensure that the toys meet the requirements. Norwegian Customs can stop toys that are not CE labelled or otherwise violate international standards.
