The rules of origin is applied differently, depending on whether the exporter is a producer or trader.
In this context, a producer is defined as someone who has manufactured export goods in accordance with the requirements that are laid down in the applicable free trade agreement.
Production means processing/manufacture that goes beyond the minimal operations, listed in the free trade agreements to be "insufficient working or processing".
Among other things, the following processes are considered to belong to the concept of production in the fishing industry
- Filleting;
- Smoking;
- Production of salted fish;
- Production of stockfish and clipfish.
